What is OTT?

OTT, or Over-the-Top, is video content that can be streamed via the Internet. The technology bypasses traditional linear broadcast and cable boxes.

How is OTT viewed?

OTT is viewed on devices that connect to the Internet. Then once connected, viewers are able to stream content in their home or on the go. Internet enabled devices include connected TVs, desktops, gaming consoles, phones, and tablets.

What is CTV?

CTV, or connected TV, is a sub set of OTT. CTV refers to a television set that is connected to the Internet. With CTV, viewers stream content through smart TVs or other devices that enable an internet connection to their TV. These devices include Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Xbox, etc.

Where are ads serve?

Ads are served during commercial breaks on live content and on-demand. During which, a block of ads appear before the viewer is able to watch the rest of their content. Further, ads appear at certain percentages throughout the duration of their content.

Who watches OTT?

Nielsen research determined that the largest demographic to consume OTT content are between the age of 18-34. However, the OTT space has grown rapidly among other demographics too. As a result, more people are cancelling their cable or satellite subscriptions. In return, they are turning to streaming services as their TV viewing solution.

Are ads skippable?

No, ads are not skippable and are also disabled to fast-forwarding.

Can my ads be placed on premium networks such as Fox, Bravo, or ESPN?
