The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup began last week. Besides dominating the competition, the US women’s national soccer team has begun promoting Hulu’s live sports.

The US women’s national soccer team has joined the lineup of athletes who are proclaiming that “Hulu has live sports“. In the endorsement, they poked fun at the big paycheck they received for participating in the partnership.

Hulu, partnered with 12 players from the US women’s national team. Some of the players included in the lineup are Carli Lloyd, Tobin Heath, and Megan Rapinoe. Also included in the endorsement are soccer legends Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach.

The yearlong partnership includes a 30-second spot where the teammates practice their new goal celebrations. In their celebration of “Hulu has live sports”, the teammates form a couch, ottoman, as well as a TV.

This spot is the latest in Hulu’s yearlong campaign called “Hulu Sellouts“. The campaign started in February and has already featured spots with NBA stars. Each of the campaigns, has promoted Hulu’s live TV offering in exchange for a large amount of money.

Hulu unveiled details of the new #HuluHasLiveSportsChallenge to raise money for the National Women’s Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA). To participate in the challenge, individuals must juggle a soccer ball while saying “Hulu has live sports.” Then post the video to their social media with the hashtag and challenge two friends to follow suit. Every video that is posted through July 10, Hulu will donate $1 to NWSLPA.

The National Women’s Soccer League Players Association is the exclusive bargaining representative for league’s players. The NWSLPA represents current and future players who have signed agreements with the NWSL.
